Welcome to Pensby Girls' School

For over fifty years Pensby High School for Girls has built up a reputation for high academic achievement, music, drama, sport, together with a friendly, lively atmosphere in which pupils are encouraged to take an active part in their own education. This year for the second consecutive year we have been delighted to receive a SCHOOL ACHIEVEMENT AWARD.

The school has a wealth of experience in providing an education for pupils according to their ability and aptitudes. Whilst retaining what we think is the best of the past, we try to keep abreast of modern thoughts and introduce new ideas and technologies when an improvement on traditional methods is called for. The school has over 850 pupils on roll with a thriving sixth form (run jointly with Pensby High School for Boys.) The school has for many years been substantially over subscribed and the LEA allocate places according to their criteria.
